The elections to the 15th Lok Sabha were held in April-May 2009 in which the Congress was voted to power. This book presents a critical analysis of the performance of different parties in this election. Tracing the historical background of the Indian National Congress, it examines the various factors that led the Congress to power. Also, it highlights the follies committed by the BJP and the Left parties which spelt dooms for them.
Yasir Hussain (1976-) is a journalist qualified from the Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi. He regularly writes for different magazines and newspapers on socio-political issues. Also, he has to his credit four books, namely—“Congress Voted to Power Why?”, “Corruption Free India: Fight to Finish”, “India’s Unending War against Terrorism” and “SAFTA: Potential and Challenges”.
