This Order Cancellation Policy applies to physical printed books supplied directly by Shhalaj Publishing House through its websites and authorised sales channels.
Orders that have not yet been dispatched to a courier may be cancelled directly by the customer through the "My Orders" section of their account, without needing to contact customer support.
Orders that have already been dispatched to a courier can no longer be cancelled online. Customers may instead submit a cancellation request through "My Orders" or by contacting support@shhalaj.com. Submission of such a request does not automatically guarantee cancellation.
An order remains eligible for self-service cancellation through "My Orders" until it has been dispatched to a courier for delivery.
Where an order is cancelled this way, the order is cancelled immediately and the full amount paid is refunded automatically, in accordance with Section 6 below.
An order is no longer eligible for online self-service cancellation once it has been dispatched to a courier or logistics partner.
For such orders, a cancellation request may still be submitted through "My Orders" or by contacting support@shhalaj.com, and will be reviewed and decided by Shhalaj Publishing House.
Where an order contains multiple items, Shhalaj Publishing House may permit cancellation of items that have not yet entered fulfilment while proceeding with items already being processed.
If an item becomes unavailable before dispatch, Shhalaj Publishing House may cancel that item and refund or adjust the corresponding amount paid.
Any Loyalty Points redeemed against the cancelled item may be proportionately restored.
Where an order is cancelled online before dispatch, the full amount paid — including any Packing & Forwarding Charges — is refunded automatically and immediately to the original payment method, with no deductions.
Where a cancellation request for an already-dispatched order is instead approved by Shhalaj Publishing House, the refund is processed manually and may take a number of business days depending upon payment providers, banking systems, and financial institutions.
Shhalaj Publishing House reserves the right to refuse cancellation requests, suspend accounts, or take appropriate action where repeated cancellations, misuse, fraud, abuse, or other irregular activity is detected.
All decisions relating to cancellation requests shall be made by Shhalaj Publishing House and shall be final.
