These terms apply specifically to paid subscriptions to the Shhalaj Digital Library (book.shhalaj.com). They are separate from, and do not affect, Shhalaj Publishing House's policies for physical printed books.
A Shhalaj Digital Library subscription gives you online reading access to the full Shhalaj Digital Library catalogue for the duration of your subscription, through the reader on this website.
The catalogue may change over time - titles may be added, and in some cases a title may become unavailable if the underlying publishing or distribution rights for that title change. We do not guarantee that any specific title will remain available for the full term of your subscription.
Individual plans are for personal use by a single named reader on a single account. Sharing your login, or using an Individual plan on behalf of more than one person, is not permitted.
Institutional plans are licensed for use by authorised users of the subscribing institution, up to the number of users included in the plan purchased. Institutional access is intended for use within the subscribing institution and is not transferable to unrelated third parties.
Subscriptions are billed annually in advance, at the price shown at checkout for the plan you select. Payments are processed through Razorpay.
Unless cancelled, your subscription renews automatically each year and is charged to the same payment method, at the price applicable at the time of that renewal.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from the My Subscription page in your account.
Cancelling stops future renewal - you will not be charged again. It does not end your access immediately: you keep full catalogue access for the rest of the period you've already paid for, and access ends when that period expires.
Subscription fees already paid are generally non-refundable, including where a subscription is cancelled partway through a paid period.
If you are unable to access the catalogue because of a fault on our part, please contact us at the email address below so we can investigate and put it right.
Your subscription is for reading access only. You may not share your account credentials, systematically download or copy catalogue content, or attempt to redistribute content obtained through your subscription. We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.
We may update these terms, and subscription pricing, from time to time. Changes will apply to future renewals and to new subscriptions; we will make reasonable efforts to make current terms and pricing available on this site before you subscribe or renew.
