Story telling is a treasure of the rich Norwegian cultural heritage. There are folktales ranging from imaginative stories to those depicting human relationships. The supernatural and extraordinary elements make the folktales stand out from the other stories that are either confined to reality or are based on what is considered true. The present book brings for young readers a collection of few such tales that are sure to give them a pleasant reading experience. Most of the stories have old roots and are carried down from one generation to the other.
